About our internship program

Our internship and work-study program gives students the chance to turn their passion for global issues into action. By contributing to advocacy campaigns, youth programs, and special initiatives, interns gain real-world experience and a deeper understanding of how local leadership connects to global change.

UNA-GP offers year-round unpaid internships from high schools, universities and graduate programs who want to deepen their understanding of global issues and make a local impact. Whether supporting Model UN, advancing human rights initiatives, or helping coordinate community programs, interns become an essential part of our work and grow as emerging global leaders.

Current opportunities:

Communications Intern:

The Communications Intern supports UNA-GP’s digital presence by creating content, managing social media, and helping share our mission with the broader community. Interns gain experience in messaging, storytelling, and nonprofit communications while amplifying our work across platforms.

Program Intern:

The Program Intern assists with planning, coordinating, and delivering UNA-GP’s educational and community programs, including Model UN, youth initiatives, and special projects. Interns develop skills in event logistics, curriculum support, and program evaluation while working closely with staff and volunteers.

Advocacy Intern:

The Advocacy Intern contributes to UNA-GP’s policy and outreach efforts by conducting research, preparing advocacy materials, and supporting engagement with local and national leaders. Interns gain hands-on experience in public policy, grassroots organizing, and campaigns that advance the UN’s values.

Development Intern:

The Development Intern supports UNA-GP’s fundraising and donor engagement efforts by assisting with grant research, donor outreach, and stewardship activities. Interns help prepare materials for campaigns and events while gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit development and philanthropy.
