Women’s Rights Under Pressure: Power, Control, and Equity from Law to Labor

The Living Room, Penn Women’s Center
3643 Locust Walk, Philadelphia, PA

The United Nations Association of Greater Philadelphia (UNA-GP), in partnership with the Penn Association for Gender Equity (PAGE), invites you to a timely International Women’s Day discussion examining the legal, economic, and cultural forces shaping women’s rights today.

As legal frameworks, labor markets, and social norms continue to shift—sometimes advancing equity and sometimes constraining it—this conversation will explore the implications for women’s autonomy, work, and access to opportunity in both U.S. and global contexts.

This program brings together legal, policy, and global perspectives and is designed for law students, legal practitioners, policy professionals, academics, and advocates committed to gender equity and human rights.
